Description

This work on paper is a reflection of a series of works focused on empires and their rise and inevitable fall. The piece is a collage with translucent vellum overlaid on bristol paper. The main element in a fragmented composition is an old-fashioned film project representing control of the media. The vintage projector is surrounded by an icon called tabula rasa which the artist returns to on a regular basis. This piece was also part of an overarching theme of using the language of maps and diagrams as expression.
