Description

“Griffin” 11×14 inches, Mixed Media on stretched canvas. Between 2003 and 2010, Smith made a large group of smaller works on canvas.  A series of horse-themed works was first exhibited in the U.A.E in 2003, and subsequently, Smith continued to explore the small format through 2010. The subjects vary, but these works all have scale and the use of collage as features of this series and time period.
