These works are medium scale sculpture studies for a three dimensional series that I had started creating in 2008. The process moved from drawings on paper to the construction of full scale maquettes in foam core, to the casting of the pieces in Parian. This process was designed to allow iterations to develop quickly. These studies below were the extension works for the series designed for limited edition release in Parian. This series of works was designed to be a counter balance to the layered, colorful and filled picture plane of the paintings being produced during that same time period. The severe disruption of the financial markets in 2008 was a major factor in the decision to cut the production of the remainder of the series.
